Hello and welcome to the Putt Out Hunger CLE website, my name is Paul Lamison, CEO of PLamison, LLC. In partnership with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank (GCFB), I am hosting a charity golf event to benefit children who face food insecurity in the NE Ohio area. The GCFB states that “many of our neighbors are making difficult choices - whether to buy food or pay for rent or utilities. They are the working poor who struggle each day to provide life's necessities for their families”. Further, “1 in 5 children live in poverty across our service area. Cleveland’s child poverty rate has been consistently among the highest of large U.S. cities.” As residents of NE Ohio, we are taking action to help our community. This year will be the inaugural Putt Out Hunger CLE charity golf event and I look forward to holding this event for many years. The event will bring in over 100 golfers and many more viewers to our Putt Out Hunger CLE posts. Please see the site for information on how to sign up your foursome, become a sponsor or donor. Our mission is to Increase the awareness of child hunger in NEO that will reduce the number of children whose available daily food does not meet their needs. We will achieve this through education and donations. Our path is an inaugural golf event that allows learning and growth which will be built upon in future years.
